With the highest waterfall in Europe, you won't be deceived by this visit a few kilometers away from Luz-Saint-Sauveur !

At 2,877 m above sea level, it is undoubtedly the most beautiful panorama on the entire Pyrenees chain.
On this national natural site - classified since 2003 - we also find the highest planetarium in Europe.
Lots of hikes
The GR10 passes right by our door, and therefore many hikes leave directly from the hostel.
For example, you can go up to Bastampe Lake :)
Climbing
There are several climbing sites around the hostel. The Napoleon Bridge site is less than 2 minutes away on foot. Other sites like Héas are 30 minutes away by car.

Buy local products directly from regional producers!
From sheep's cheese to the famous black pork from Bigorre, every Monday morning in the center of Luz.
Ski resorts
Access to 3 resorts in less than thirty minutes. The Grand Tourmalet, Luz Ardiden, Gavarnie, you are already at the foot of the slopes! Enjoy the Pyrenees in summer and winter.
Via Ferratas
Explore a unique Via Ferrata located just under the Napoleon Bridge, a 3-minute walk away. 20 minutes away, you can also do the Coumély via ferrata :). Accrobranche park, zip lines and bungee jumping also 5 minutes from the hostel.
Thermes
Want to recharge your batteries?
The Luzéa thermal baths await you 100m from the inn with spa access (sauna, jacuzzi, hammam, swimming pool).
The river is also accessible in 5 minutes on foot when it is hot!
Pont Napoleon
Just a 3-minute walk away this 63m bridge is quite a sight. Built in the 1800s by Napoleon 3 you can enjoy an artisanal ice cream, bungee jump or walk down to the river below and enjoy the fresh waters.
River of the Gave
There are a few river spots just 5 minutes walk from the backpackers where you can access a couple of small "beaches" and have a dip in the cold (sometimes glacial) water. Either down beneath the children's playground opposite the building to Pont Gonteaut or beneath the Pont Napoleon. Take a picnic, enjoy the peace and nature.
Just keep an eye on the water levels as they can rise suddenly but you will always have time to exit the water as long as you are sensible.
